Our popular series of T-Shirts featuring designs by some of the top underground artists continues. For 2011 our artist was Eric Kneeland!
When Eric constructs his illustrations he approaches the process in the
same manner a sous chef prepares soup. Many of the ingredients that influence the
final illustration are drawn from everyday life, old postcards, hand-lettering,
hobo monikers, sign-painting, old stamps, hand-crafted objects, baseball cards,
garbage pail kids, the smell of the first rain, old photographs, cloud illustrations,
match book covers & reference material forgotten and then found in his pockets.
Currently Kneeland heads Black Stamp Studios specializing in Printmaking, Sign-Painting and Illustration.
